There are so many ways of looking at the world is it so easy to paralyze ourselves through over thinking and analysis. I could say over analysis but I won’t. Sometimes any analysis is enough, to slow down our brilliant minds. The brilliance of the mind, is what an author shares with us as he sits down to write a novel. The creation of all such stories require a manner of unfolding that the thinking mind is to linear too follow.
This over thinking is an expression of a rambunctious mind. When one is able to sit on the spot, without demands upon the mind, creativity flows. When one is able to be on the spot, without having to ‘think’ the situation out something magical happens. It’s this elusive thing everyone is trying to tell us about, and we’re so busy legitimately trying to do these things people are telling us we miss the point. We miss ourselves.
This brings us to the importance of meditation. Seated meditation is a time to sit like a king. Literally, it’s staying seated for a period of time while maintaining good posture and breathing. When I think about it, there doesn’t appear to be a better place to learn how to relax the mind. Seated meditation is important to everything I am talking about.
When doubt walks into this otherwise beautiful crystal palace all sorts of things happen. Namely the crystal, beautiful in its appearance of fragility, gets covered up. It’s just too dangerous to have all of that glassware out in the open. There’s wild children about.
So the walls get covered and the floor becomes protected and soft for us to fall. But that’s a whole other article.
The thing is realizing that we are whirring up. It’s amazing what recognition brings, when it isn’t part of analysis.
To the riddle of it all, how to catch our mind wandering, and go about our day.
